How to lose weight fast?

To answer this question, we first have to ask ourselves, WHY ARE WE GAINING WEIGHT?

We are gaining weight because of hormone called insulin, which starts to secrete when sugar (glucose) appears in our bloodstream. This occurs when we eat carbohydrates; simple carbohydrates, such as sugar (also fruit), or complex carbohydrates, such as potatoes, rice, pasta, bread. The insulin’s task is to remove this sugar from our blood. Insulin sends a small amount of sugar into muscles and liver, to be used for energy, while main part is being stored as body fat. This is not all the damage the consumption of carbohydrates does to the body, why insulin rather quickly removes the sugar from our blood, consequently, the body thinks it lacks food and therefore it activates the feeling of hunger. If at that moment, we again reach for a snack full of carbohydrates, the whole process repeats, and we fall into a vicious circle of weight gain.

The answer to the question from the title is now obvious – to lose weight we need to remove carbohydrates from our diet, or to limit their consumption to those deriving from vegetables, in particular from vegetables growing above ground (broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, chard, cabbage, lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms). On the other hand, we should increase the intake of quality fats, such as saturated fats (butter, coconut oil, lard, eggs) and mono-unsaturated fats (olive oil, avocado, tree nuts).

Unlike carbohydrates, fats do not raise blood sugar levels, therefore they are not affecting the secretion of insulin, which is the main culprit for production and storage of body fat. It is therefore impossible that the fat consumed would produce body fat, except, of course, if we consume carbs and fat together. Another benefit from consuming quality fat is also, that it gives us, among all nutrients, the longest lasting feeling of satiety – you won/t feel hunger for several hours after eating fat.
The key advantage of eating fat is to teach the body to use fat for the production of energy in the body – excess body fat and the fat consumed with food.
The consumption of protein should be moderate - not more that one gram per kilogram of body weight – from protein sources such as meat, fish and eggs.

During the day, drink plenty of fluids, especially water, a good choice is also unsweetened tea or coffee (but don’t overdo it). Add vitamin and mineral food supplements to your diet and don’t forget about physical activity!
After a week or two, when the body will become accustomed to this kind of diet, the body fat will begin melt, literally! Moreover, you will burst with energy all day long, not to mention that this diet will also bring many positive effects to your health!
