This vegan protein shake contains a combination of different plant protein sources to provide a full spectrum of amino acids, both essential and non-essential. Pea and wheat proteins represent the main part, while coconut, rice and pumpkin proteins represent a smaller part. Pea protein is particularly rich in the essential BCAA amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine, which have a stimulating effect on muscle recovery, and arginine. Another feature of pea protein is that it promotes a feeling of satiety.
As the vegan diet is specific and excludes animal sources of nutrients, vitamin B12 and the mineral iron, which are in general under-represented in the vegan diet,as their sources are predominantly of animal origin and are therefore deficient in vegans.
The product is also suitable for people looking for a substitute for milk or soy proteins that can cause allergies.
