Glutathione is a tripeptide that is naturally produced in human organism from three amino acids - cysteine, glutamine and glycine. It is mostly concentrated in the liver, an important detox organ in our body. It plays a key role in protecting the organism from oxidative stress in both tissues and cells, by catching free radicals and is therefore one of the main antioxidant systems in our body.
